We all knew that Nick Jonas was going to host this year’s Billboard Music Awards. However, he wasn’t kidding when he said that he had a few surprises up his sleeves. The Jealous singer kickstarted the night with a tremendous performance along with his brothers Joe and Kevin Jonas. Besides, he slayed the red carpet with his wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas. However, the biggest twist was revealed by Priyanka when she made a husband appreciation post wherein she lauded the zeal with which her husband hosted the show despite having a broken rib. That’s right, he crushed it indeed!

2. BTS Band – The Return of The Record Breaking Machine

The K-pop superstars and the biggest boy band in the world, BTS, was definitely the highlight of the show. They remotely made the debut performance of their latest English single “Butter” which has shattered numerous world records in YouTube history which were previously set by their single “Dynamite”. Apart from giving a magnanimous performance, the South Korean mega stars won all the four awards that they were nominated for – Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Social Artist (for the fifth consecutive year) and Top Selling Song, all for their superhit song “Dynamite”.

3. The Weekend belonged to The Weeknd!

After criticizing the Grammys for corruption, it was at the BBMAs that Abel Tesfaye, more popularly known as The Weeknd, was given due recognition when he received 16 Billboard nominations for his album After Hours. He became the most nominated musician of the year. And he won big at the night, bagging 10 out of those awards including Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top R&B Album and Top Radio Song. He also performed his hit song Save Your Tears which featured some cool car stunts.
